Alexa Milne Jewellery
ALEXA MILNE
Background
Alexa Milne jewellery was founded after I graduated from the Decorative Arts course at Nottingham Trent University in 2014. Since that point I have worked in sterling silver throughout a variety of different styles; undertaking bespoke works and commissions from various clients and selling online and at local events.
My work has a simple and minimal aesthetic to it; I take inspiration from the world around me and like to use subtle textures and forms in my work to compliment different styles. I love taking ideas from nature and urban culture and combining them with contrasting organic and geometric shapes.
My jewellery range from earrings to bangles, chokers to statement rings. Each piece is handmade and tactile, encouraging the wearer to interact and engage with their adornment. Collaborating and stocking my work with other independent fashion designers and retailers is extremely important to me, as I feel compelled to support and be part of the inspiring (and fast growing!) movement of creative development in Nottingham. I try to use eco-silver and recycled sterling silver wherever possible in my work, I aim to use a minimal amount of waste and chemicals in my processing and manufacturing. My future goal is to use 100% recycled silver and work towards a conscious future in the jewellery industry, whilst keeping my collections affordable and accessible to all.Info
