The Midlands Fashion Awards bring together some of the best emerging designers from across the region and beyond.

Entries are now open for innovative and creative professional and non-professional hairstylists who are able demonstrate their exceptional skills in their work as a hairstylist. If you are looking to build your professional portfolio this is a great opportunity. We are now accepting entries for Midlands Fashion Awards 2017.

Entrants must complete and submit an entry form and images as described below.

  • Complete and submit the online entry form in detailed.
  • Include your biography, education and a description of your work together with anyone who you feel has contributed to your success. (Maximum 150 words)
  • Submit a portfolio of 4 photo images highlighting any specific projects or collaborations with fashion designers, photographers, make-up artists, to create beauty shoots and or campaigns etc. This must be your own work.
  • Photographic images must be in colour to demonstrate your creativity and technical excellence and any accompanying images must be in either a .jpeg file no larger than 2MB or a PDF document.
  • Please ensure you obtained permission to use any photo images you submit with your entry form. 
  • Please ensure that images are taken against a neutral back ground.
  • Your work must have been created within the past 6 months and will be judged on the images received.
  • Judges will assess all entries using a points system based on your presentation.
  • Judges will take into consideration creativity, execution, photographic content and use of light as these will form part of the selection process.
  • We reserve the right to contact the photographer(s) to discuss your entry.
  • Successful applicants will be informed by email.
  • The closing date for entries is 18th June 2017.
