Rhys Lenihan-Jones

My collection is based around the evolution and capabilities of the human body, alongside this concept there was a strong influence by British sculpture artist Antony Gormley. The material used throughout the collection has been hand crafted by using recycled coffee capsules which have been sourced throughout Italy and the UK. The material allowed me to achieve a specific sense of movement which I wouldn't achieve with ready-made fabric. Alongside the movement of the material, I was able to play with unique colour combinations. My aspiration is to develop my design aesthetic, whilst finding a platform in which I can present another collection in the hope to find funding to develop my collections further.
