Merce by Jaqueline Richards

MERCÊ is a Portuguese word that translates as Grace, imparting the synonyms: elegance, stylishness, finesse, poise and effortlessness.   Designed by Jaqueline Richards, MERCÊ is a fusion of both Brazilian and British cultures, focusing on beautiful designs, femininity and the exploration of colour through digital print. With a vibrant interest in all things ‘fashion’, she has accomplished a BTEC National Diploma in Fashion Design with triple distinction followed by a first class degree in Fashion with Professional Enhancement, from Coventry University.   During this time, Jaqueline has entered various fashion related events, being a finalist for the ‘Clothes Show Live: Young Designer of the Year’ and winning ‘Ethical Fashion Design of the Year 2011’ for Twisted Fashion, as well as showcasing her work at fashion shows and engaging in collaborations.   Jaqueline has experienced working in the Fashion Industry by undertaking placements with companies such as Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Suzi Turner Couturier, Gavin Douglas and Correo Ervhanski. MERCÊ is looking to inspire a sophisticated and modern woman, for whom uniqueness of style is paramount to their character and personality.
