Luisa Hackney, Fashion Stylist, Birmingham
I recently graduated as a Fashion Styling and Creative Direction student at Southampton Solent University. A milestone in my life has been obtaining a First-Class Honours in my degree. Although fashion has been an interest of mine for many years, only within the last few years have I truly understood the importance that beauty and fashion holds in today's society.
My work varies from commercial to contemporary styling - I believe being versatile, with the ability to adapt a look, depending on the creative direction, is very important.
I have worked as an intern/stylist for Style Birmingham Magazine, which was my first venture into the incredibly creative and fast pace industry; the team at Style Birmingham have contributed to my successes with particular regards to University by reassuring and gaining my confidence tremendously.
My inspiration and motivation can be stimulated by almost anything, such as surroundings, lifestyle, as well as other established artists; however, client’s needs, profile and status are important factors to be considered before styling a look.
I am currently establishing myself as a free-lance Fashion Stylist and beauty influencer; with a combined social media following of over 35,000 the recent creation of my own YouTube Vlog is a natural progression.'
