JEMIMA OLIVIA
Background
In 2013, on a bit of a whim Jemima Olivia embarked on an HNC in Millinery at Leeds College of Art, after feeling unsatisfied with her job and career prospects. Two years later she was awarded a distinction in Millinery and went on to intern at Noel Stewart Millinery in London. Working with Noel was very exciting and provided Jemima with invaluable experience as well as the opportunity to work with one of her favourite milliners. It was her proudest achievement and gave her the motivation to start her own millinery business.
Jemima is now working with the Princes Trust, focusing on building her own label.
'I design and manufacture the hats from my Nottingham studio, finding inspiration in the culturally vibrant city and surrounding countryside. I pride myself on offering a unique and contemporary style suitable for special occasions such as weddings and race days. I create two ranges per year as well as taking on commissions for individual clients'.
My hats have been displayed in a number of exhibitions and most recently featured in Elle magazine. I am now looking forward to unveiling my latest
Autumn Winter collection 'Swag' at the Midlands Fashion Awards in October.Info
